Why Repipe?
Over time, pipes deteriorate and eventually they corrode, rust, crack or develop pinholes. Worn pipes can lead to problems such as leaks, rust-coloured or off-tasting water or water pressure issues. Ideally, pipes should be replaced before problems develop. Timely inspections can help diagnose plumbing problems, and pipes can be repaired or replaced before leaks develop and damage the building and its contents.
What is Repiping?
Repiping is also known as domestic water pipe replacement. During a typical repiping project, the building’s entire domestic water pipe system is replaced.
The repiping process usually starts from the building’s cold-water incoming line and the hot water tank headers in the mechanical room. All the hot, cold and recirculation piping, fittings, and valves are replaced. During a complete replacement procedure, all the pipes are replaced right up to the fixtures within the building. Generally, the fixtures themselves are not replaced, depending on the specifications for the project.
Attention to Detail
Maintaining building functionality and aesthetics during the repiping process is our top priority. We thoroughly clean the worksite at the end of each workday with a final cleanup at the completion of the project. Our professionally trained drywall crews take care of wall repairs, and we guarantee that any walls impacted by re-piping will look as good as they did before the work began. After the repiping work is complete and approved by municipal and engineering inspectors, we provide you with a copy of the maintenance manual with details about the work done on the building, including permits, inspection reports, valve tags etc.
Water Shutdowns
Water shutdowns are a necessary part of every project. However, we keep the number of shutdowns to a minimum and ensure that there is as little disruption to residents/tenants as possible. We post notices of water shutdowns well in advance and ensure that all parties are properly notified.
