History

BMS Plumbing & Mechanical Systems Ltd. was incorporated in 1984 as Better Mechanical Systems Ltd. We started out as a mechanical contractor specializing in new installations in the construction industry.

In the early years, we operated a service department that provided plumbing, gas, and HVAC system work for more than 60 major companies in Vancouver and across the Lower Mainland.

In 1985, we noticed an increasing number of buildings suffering from the deterioration of their domestic water piping systems, which led us to specialize in repiping. Working closely with consulting engineers and experimenting with different methods of upgrading piping systems, we were pioneers in establishing one of the first systematic pipe replacement methods.

In 1986, we completed one of the first full building repiping projects in the Lower Mainland: a 30-story 270-suite high-rise. We were also the first re-piping company to complete a stainless-steel repipe in a strata-titled building in 2013.

Through our many years of experience, we have perfected a systematic procedure of re-piping occupied building structures with minimal disruption and quality work that lasts for years to come.

Our Repiping Projects

We have completed hundreds of projects over the years, including residential and commercial high-rises, institutional and industrial installations, hospitals, retail outlets and leasehold improvements.
